1 Dead, 1 Critically Injured in Franklin Square Shooting

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a homicide investigation in the Southwest District.

On March 17, at approximately 11:48 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 300 block of N. Gilmor Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a 40-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

While on the scene, a 44-year-old man walked into an area hospital seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. The victim is currently in critical condition.
