24-Year-Old Hakeem Smith Arrested for the Shooting of a 42-Year-Old Man

A 24-year-old man has been arrested for the non-fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man on March 8.

The Baltimore Police Department reported the arrest of Hakeem Smith, 24, exactly three weeks after the incident on the 500 block of Dolphin Street at approximately 1:55 p.m., where they found a 42-year-old man suffering from a gunshot. 

The victim was transported to Shock Trauma, where he was treated for his injury.

Detectives collected physical evidence, interviewed witnesses, and ultimately identified a suspect.

On March 24, at approximately 11 a.m. members of the Warrant Task Force arrested Smith in the 22000 block of W. Coldspring Lane without incident.

Following his arrest, Smith was transported to the Central Booking, where he has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder and held without bail.
